This week we looked at Marquee Metal, a compilation record featuring guitar greats such as Queen, Aerosmith and Black Sabbath. I was pleasantly surprised that students were already extremely familiar with We Will Rock You by Queen, Alice Cooper's School Out For Summer and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. It was a great opportunity to practice air guitar.
I also put on Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, a bit more mellow, at the end of lunch to prepare students for the final lessons of the week.
A suggestion for next week's vinyl is Led Zeppelin. Pass other suggestions on to Ms O'Shea in the library.
